The main thing I learned by using linkedin is what a valuable tool networking can be. I realized very fast I have made several valuable connections over the years that could potentially land a job in the future. In completing steps 2-6 (building my profile) I soon realized I need to be more involved at school. There were sections I would have liked to have been able to include more but I had nothing. I will be transferring to KU soon and this is something I will definitely take with me. As for my next step on linkedin, I need to continue building my profile.

Feedly Advantages and Disadvantages (Blog Exercise 1)

After using feedly for a few days my favorite feature by far is being able to clearly see what headlines you have already viewed. I find myself rereading articles all the time only to realize at the end I’m pretty sure I’ve read this already. This feature has most definitely saved me some frustration. Another feature I really like is being able to view my feed in categories. I have a few science sites I frequent and it’s nice to be able to view them all on one page. My only real complaint is that I use the Internet to kill time and traveling from site to site is great for killing an evening. I need a new hobby.

I’m josh, I’m 24 years old and live in Desoto ks. I work for the family business as a painter. I’m obsessed with my motorcycle (Suzuki GSXR 600), I ride every chance I get. When I’m not riding I love watching YouTube videos about motorcycles. One of my favorite channels is BloxStarzTv, they frequently post stunt riding videos. Another channel I frequent is Gurustunts, on this channel you can find stunt riding and skydiving videos. The final channel I frequent most is BozemanScience, I’m a biology major and this is a great study resource.
